Minus-Sol Facial Sun Protection is a silky smooth cream that is ideal for women. |
When it comes to women and their
faces, they are persistent about
keeping it as flawless as possible.
So when women have to compromise
wearing makeup for extra sunscreen
protection, some women opt out.
Debra Atkinson, esthetician and
skincare technician at The Skin Care
Center, said women shouldn’t have to
choose. They can have both.
“Most women don’t wear sunscreen
because their makeup doesn’t go on
over it smoothly,” Atkinson said.
“Most makeups have SPF15. So you’re
kind of laying on protection.”
Atkinson said it is also
important for women to shop for a
sunscreen that has UVB provide
protection against the burning rays.
The products with UVA protect
against aging rays.
