Spring fashion is all about “wearable joy!”

Shopping list: Go on a tropical vacation without leaving town with this dress by Haven in fresh floral, a springtime favorite, $114.

Adorn yourself in joy when dressing for spring 2026!

That’s the advice from Tahnee Judice, owner of Hemline, a new downtown Pensacola boutique located on Jefferson Street.

“This spring is all about optimism, self-expression and wearable joy,” Judice said. “We’re seeing a return to color, femininity and playful silhouettes, balanced with timeless shapes that feel fresh again.”

The season’s trends evoke a seaside or agrarian vacation: florals, retro resort, stripes, citrus, femininity and nautical.

“The focus is on relaxed, flattering cuts that feel polished but effortless, with movement over structure,” Judice noted.

Judice reported that amidst AI domination, fashion is prioritizing individualism.

According to Pantone Color Institute experts, “designers at New York Fashion Week fearlessly stepped into personal expression, a dramatic bulwark against AI and creeping homogenization. Finding freedom to redefine color usage, this season’s palette contrasts stimulating colors with foundational tones.”

The results of unexpected color combinations are dynamic. Pairing similar shades results in a cohesive monochromatic effect. Pick your preference!

“Accessories are playful and colorful this spring,” Judice said. “Think statement mini bags, chunky chain jewelry, strappy sandals and retro-inspired sunglasses.”

Shopping list: Sets are a popular way to achieve a pulled-together look this spring! The nautical blue pinstripe channels a cool, classy seaside getaway vibe. Azzurra skirt, $138, and cropped adjustable top, $88.
Shopping list: Make it a citrusy spring in this Bec + Bridge floral mini dress featuring a statement sash, $320.

Madelyn Champion

Destin native Madelyn Champion is fusing her modeling background with cutting-edge technology training AI models. Yet when not working, the natural world is her happy place.

“One of my favorite things to do on the Emerald Coast is go to the beach and watch the sunset with friends,” said Champion, who recently completed her master’s degree in data science at the University of West Florida.

“My husband and I also like to take our dog to the dog beach in Pensacola during the summer because she loves to play fetch and the water cools her off.”

Completing a March 5K with a friend as well as horseback riding are other outdoor pursuits. Strength training and Pilates round out Champion’s fitness routine.

Aesthetically speaking, Claude Monet’s “Water Lily Pond” so inspired Champion she once created her own interpretation. She feels at home in boho chic fashion in natural fibers as well as timeless Ralph Lauren pieces. Equestrian and western fashion influences reflect her bond with horses.

Shopping list: Saddle up for warm weather in easy cropped 15 Years Smolder jeans, $235. Pair with a cool print peplum top by En Saison, $96.
